A superbly elegant restoration, along with an underfloor heating system and moveable seating for 140 people, make the Pritchett Chapel a comfortable and highly versatile venue. In addition to funeral services, the unique Grade II* listed building is used for concerts, arts and crafts exhibitions, evening entertainments, meetings, lectures and other functions.
Musicians and singers enjoy performing in the chapel with its excellent acoustics. It is also the venue for the Friends of York Cemetery’s very popular annual Carol Concert in December.
The chapel provides ample space and good natural light for exhibitions of fine art, photography and crafts.
All functions are subject to agreement by the Office Administrator and require a non-refundable deposit. If you are interested in hiring the chapel, please contact the Office Administrator well in advance in order to discuss your ideas and to secure your desired dates.
Hiring fees:
Whole day: £250
Half day/evening to 11pm: £125
Wedding receptions (includes setting up chairs/tables; 100 max. seated): £500
