Meetings with the Cemetery Warden or Office Administrator on cemetery business can be arranged by booking an appointment. This ensures the staff is available and avoids disappointment. Cemetery business includes purchasing plots, arranging burials (full or cremated remains), chapel hire, transfer of Burial Rights, discussing memorial regulations and the Grass Cutting Scheme. The Friends of York Cemetery offer an in-person service at the cemetery office each Friday (9.30am - 4.00pm) throughout the year for people researching family or local history at the cemetery or seeking a guide to a grave. No appointment is necessary.
